Big map data is from the global map ( battle for europe map).
Its possible that nothing has been changed ( very likely).
You dont need to read the german really to see what has been changed.
The fastest way is the read the string and compare to an english version ( the one you have on 1.3)
For example
#CDB_Button1 Declare war.
#CDB_Button1 Krieg erklären.

It is the same string just a different translation.
What is important is that you spot if new lines have been added ( else nothing will appear in game).

If the strings are the same in the german file and your 1.3 english file than just add the english file in it.
Even if they did change something in the translation, then it will not affect gameplay, because text files just translate strings, they dont affect them. ( hope that made sense)

Correct, if both players have the same version than there will be no synch errors, but it should be made very clear to them that it is not 1.4 but an updated version off 1.3 , based on 1.4

Well I did compare the two. I did not see anything that was obviously different.

But there is no reason to have that file in the patch if there were nothing different?

Also it was a different size than mine.

Yes there is a list. I will find it.

This old C2 1.4 patch had a lot of changes.

I wonder why it was not official patch.
There were many interesting things, but there were many controversial or bad things too.

This patch clearly shows that many things needed improvements in this game.

I don’t know what corrections they made for AI at Spain, Rhine Confederation and Poland. Also do not know how they improved these mentioned bugs, glitches and skirmish maps, but I believe that those changes little bit improved the game.

Nevertheless I see there many controversial changes in balance.

Hi. I hope you can help me too. I want to be able to create formations in spain, rhine and cavalry units of rhine.

Also, i am unable to create formations from fortress units when playing as britain.

I have the same thing, cannot create formations in rhine and polisch units in my Bfe edition. There is probably one file that need to be changed? There must be somebody on this forum that knows what these file is??   Anybody???
