I hope this forum's still alive... smile

Anyways, now that I'm back for a while with CI (PC too weak for II), I always wondered this two things:

1) How does the Cannonball and Grape armor work? The rest I understand, pretty simple: sword armor eg. is 4 plus base armor and that amount is reduced from the attacker's sword attack. But say grape armor is 255, and unit has 100 health, and grapeshot attack is ~500, but the unit survives?! It should still take on some 245 damage?

2) Possibly related to 1), I notice ships and cannons have some attack values of 100, some have 10, like cutter, how come that they still take away thousands of hitpoints on strike?

Thanks, S.

It was only after I liked it that I realized that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was actually made by the GSC...

I hope this forum's still alive.

I hope so too

Hi Stalker and welcome to the forum.

2 good questions which I can't 100% accurately answer, but I'll have a shot at it biggrin

I think your grapeshot question is related to accuracy. Put a unit straight in front of the cannon and it won't survive. Put it at a distance and it won't take a full hit.

I'm gonna have to look this up in the .md files of the units , unless someone else has a better answer.

The KUTT.MD (from BtW 1.35) file shows that ship have only one type of attack. Strange ...
