I'm just downloading it now ( the file on the left side of that page who is rougly 84MB), though it goes epicly slow, so 'ill see exactly what it is when it has finished downloading. I remember when i downloaded imperia from this site it went epicly slow, so i stopped and got the german version which i got in less then 5 minutes.

As it says somewhere at the bottom of the page: you should install the mods03.gs1 into your imperia folder ( take a backup and try it on that, because there is already a mods03.Gs1 file in the original imperia. I dont know if its a whole new mods03 or an updated, so to be on the save side, copy and try from there.

As to what it exactly changes, i think if i read it correct, it adds new units for england for example, funny enough they took them from Divided Nation. Im pretty sure there is a copyrright issue here since DN was made by ROS and not gsc/cdv. Or they got a permission to do this.

I'll see when it finished downloading, ill try to install it, but that will be after diner time.

It does not work by simply adding the mods03.gs1 to the imperia directory, it states it lacks certain gp files.

And indeed, if you open mods03 with gscutility, there are only nds, md files and a couple other files, the corresponding gp files are not inside the mod itself but are contained in the folder Units Gp wich comes with the rar.

Without the unitsGp inside the mod, there is no way this can work evidently. So the solution would be to add the unitsgp folder into the mods03. (dont just drop the folder, but make sure you rename the files to + as whole folders dropping in gscutility dont work, only single files work.)Then it might work.

I will not do this myself( well might give it a try) but i wont publish this, since its not my stuff, and secondly they used units from Divided nation, which is a copyright infringment as far as I'm aware. That site mentions it i think that its for personal use. Thats why its kinda hidden, somewhat unknown mod and unfinished.

Just one remark, in the file catalog section where you provided a link aswell, perhaps write that the mod is for Cossacks 1, since i got stuff in there for both Cossacks 1 and 2, it might not be clear to players for which game it is.
