Hello all and sorry to bother you!

My Cossacks 2 (NW as well as BFE) doesn't display the textures (situated in Run\Data\textures\Ground) when I play, neither can I place them on a map in editor. It doesn't affect the gameplay itself, it just doesn't look as good as it used to.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this a new problem?

If so then a re install may be in order. Perhaps some files have been changed by accident?

The problem is not new, I just wasted some time by asking CDV support for help.
I already reinstalled it about half a dozen times and frankly have no idea what the problem could be.
But thanks for trying to help.

Forgot to add, it started when I installed it on a new computer. Strange thing is, it now has the same problem on the old computer although it always worked fine there.

I have this problem when I play on XP and with my NVidia card. It started after some update a while ago for the video card and I tried to roll back but never found which version is working.

However, with the same videocard when I dual boot into Windows 7 I dont have the problem. I'm not saying your problem is the same as mine but the result ( no detailed textures) surely looks the same.

Windows XP and NVidia - yep, we seem to experience the same problem. Well, seems I have to live with it (it is not really hindering me, after all)

Thanks a lot.
