Is it very impossible to play Cossacks 2 on Windows 7?

Hello, gentlemen;
I'm a new user in this forum. I'm Italian. Excuse me if I don't write in English very well. I'm desperate because I have a notebook (acer) with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit and I want to play Cossacks 2: Napoleonic Wars; but I have same problems. When the setup finisches and I launch the game, I see a error message by starforce protection that says to me that the sistem is uncompatible. However I read on Internet that same people with notebook and Windows 7 play to Cossacks 2 without problems. They write that they have eliminated the protection sistem (starforce) and they have found a patch for the second problem: the problem of colour and graphic. I saw in this forum a patch for graphic; I have downloaded it, but doesn't work.
Please, help me.

| I am not a technical person, but I do know that Cossacks will not run very well, if at all in 64 bit.
Afraid I cant help much.
