How to play Cossacks 2 Napoleonic Wars across LAN

| Having played CS 2 Nap across the LAN on 2 separate Pc's, I bought a new Pc and attempted to establish the former games. FOr Whatever reason the game of my mate would not appear, nor did mine to him when I created it..... Wanted to play the Fort of Akko created by Aidii.
Used the same Disc for both PC's and it worked before so there should not be any difference, right???
Any ideas??

| make sure that boht of you must have installed the same patch (if one installed a patch)
and you need te give permission by the firewall
