Cannot find .log file

I have installed Cossacks 2 on my laptop. It has the correct specs, but it has windows 7.

I have updated to 1.2 and I am running in Xp Sp 1.2 but I get the error message titled "Cannot open log file" and the text says "!!crash!!.log"
Any ideas?

Are you is your machine 32bit of 64bit?

32bit, getting the same problem above with BFE as well

I dont think the problem is that it cant find your log file, because it would only attempt to create a crash log after an error(crash). Do you get this on start up of the game, menu's, middle off  a game?
Could be an outdated driver, or not, its hard to tell without more information.

As soon as I start to load the game, the screen goes black as it prepares to play the game and then the error comes up and windows says Cossacks 2 has stopped working.
