| Does anyone know what/why/how to activate the loose-formation for rifles? I remember that when you select a line infantry squad together with a rifle unit and order the line infantry unit to form column, the rifle unit will sparse, thus giving it a higher likelihood of avoiding enemy fire. Despite this unorthodox method, is there any other, more mechanic-friendly, way of doing it? Also, if possible, I'd like to know why it/what exactly does make the units to spread. Thanks in advance.
