Ok, so I have downloaded Manchester map and for the first time used the editor to change the terrain elevation, add another gold mine and some trees, erase a couple of roads and make new ones. I've followed the online editor instructions from this site just to get familiar with it. I've saved the map and it is now in the Designed folder. How do I make it playable? Tried copying it to Skirmish subfolder in Missions folder, but when I get into game it is not on the skirmish list. Please, what am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Hello Aiidii,

you will need to download the map installer, go here: http://cossacksworld.ucoz.co.uk/load/1-1-0-14

Down load and read the read me file.

Note that it is important to direct the program to load the map to the "run" file in loading into BFE.

Good luck,

Daddio

Hi Aiidii,

I just realize I forgot to put the English description of how to use that tool with the download. I will sort it out later, If you need help with the tool, let us know.

Besides that tool you can also use this one : http://cossacksworld.ucoz.co.uk/load....-1-0-51

There's a third tool actually, you can find a link to it here : http://tigrosoft.ucoz.ru/load/cossacks_map_tolls_eng/4-1-0-53

And finally you can add maps manually aswell by adjusting some text files, but I haven't written that properly down on the site. I will do it on the next update of the map section or you can read a bit about it here in this post somewhere : http://cossacksworld.ucoz.co.uk/forum/28-14-100-16-1242288728

Regards

Thanks for the replies. I've managed to work it out wit the map installer. I've created a new map from scratch and made it playable, though now I have another problem. The villagers are not working at the mills and in mines. They and militia do get created, then just stand around. What could be the problem?

Also, the resources on which the mines are located have no name in the selection menu, even if I put a mouse cursor over them. So it could be possible that I have put the mines on the wrong resource? A couple of resources look exactly the same when put on the map.

Cheers

Probably something wrong in the set up of your villages. Can I see the map?

The md3 file ( the map) so I can see for myself what you did wrong, because it can be many things and rather then guessing, I'd like to see with my own eyes.

Upload it in attachment (put it in .rar format)
