Just a question regarding Cossacks 2 animations, can they be used in American Conquest? I know that Cossacks 1 & American Conquest share the same game engine and use bmp images in gp files to make the animations, what does Cossacks 2 use?

It might be possible indeed but it surely wont be easy.

The main problem is that the unit animations are packed with triangulatortrees.exe and not gigapack like buildings are.

You can extract units with this triangulator tool but it exports as .wlr format, which is a VRML V2.0 utf8 format ( Virtual Reality Modelling Language )

I do not possess such a tool which can bind these files back toghether into a workable format after having manipulated them. Not to mention how much work it would be to redo all those frames.

In short, its far too much work. You will be better off by creating new 3D Models in 3D Max and export them with the .c2m export plugin to Kangaroo or pack the frames with GigaPack, or MegaPack if it is for American Conquest.

Regards

E.A.
