well. im not the programer. but we want 100,000 troops. and im oing the 3d. so the terrain and soldiers will be very realistic

I know one thing, it will be truly epic! Can't believe your aiming for 100,000 units! And I thought 64,000 was massive!

Ah funny 64,000 and 100,000 men per player !

What a UNBELIEVABLE numbers!!!

I will be happy when game will allow to use only 5,000 per one player in the game where will be 4 players in skirmish game.
Then it will be only 20,000 men placed on map. But this game should include:
* AI which can handle well Napoleonic warfare
* automated villages, towns and all economy
* big armies with complex order of battle
* many well scaled and organized formations
* morale, stamina, panic effects
* diverse of buildings, flora and fauna elements
* realistic topography and all landscape
* road system
* ships and navy
* the seasons of the year and weather conditions

Besides this mentioned big numbers of men, this game should include good organised order of battle and population limit.

Here you are my more detailed proposition in this matter.

well. we want to make it historically accurate. program ai to preform for the corps leaders, but you still get prompted and make all the decisions. like lets say if there right flank was weekaning. a prompt would pop up and ask if you want ney to lead a charge over to the right flank. but u can still mess with any troops on the battlefield. if you dont like how he does it

Hm, I always want to see historical accuracy in the game, but every game have some technical problems and many compromises on it.

In that thread on cdv forum I find next interesting remark.

Quote ("LousXIV")
I have a feeling that CDV USA has something in the pipeline, but they are being very close-mouthed about it. I know I suggested taking the best of what modders have done with Blitzkrieg and put out a new, updated version of it, but there isn't much interest. Hopefully this means they've got something much better coming up.

This is really interesting to know what they,ve got in the pipeline. Have you any news there?

+ Every village that a player owns gives 50 or 100 points to the population limit.
+ Taxes - The more villages you own, more gold you get. This feature should be independent from the number of gold villages you own. Let's say the total number of taxes available for all players combined is 100%. If there are 10 villages on the map and you control 6, you get an additional 60% gold from the total 100% available every minute from taxation. All you need is a fixed number of gold available every minute through taxation (1000 for example - thus you would be alloted 600 gold in taxes every minute).

Cheers

Yes, your ideas looks very interesting.

However it is not certainly clear to me how it can work in practice.

When player owns villages tere are working peasants and I dont know are they counted in population limit or not?
Players can make some upgrades in these villages and it grow productivity, and when players capture next village then his nominal population also can grow, but it do not change amount of population placed in the game at that moment.

Taxation idea is wellcome, but needs rethink that concept how it can work in the game.

Hey, what goes on with that thread on cdv forum?

It was called as interesting thread, but it looks like pure kidding action.
Am I wrong or not?
