Library Components
26/May/2009, 2:58 PM
Library components:
comctl32.ocx
comctl32.dll
comdlg32.ocx
comdlg32.dll

These components you need to install and register in case you run gsc utility and get the error that these components are not installed.
To install, unrar and extract the required file. Drop them in your windows/system32 folder.
Then fire up run/execute/cmd depending whether you are on xp or Vista/Win7
Type the line: regsvr32 comctl32.ocx
Notice the space between the regsvr32 and the component name you are installing. Hit enter, it should give you the message that the component has been succesfully registered.

Note: if you have problems then you are probably on Vista or Windows7.It is essential that you go to the windows arch and type cmd , when it appears in the list, then right click and run as admin. Proceed as explained above.

Hi again!!, my problem was that my OS is Windows 7 SP1 "x64", and the directory described above isn't right, in Windows 64 bit versions, the correct directory where copy and register "comdlg32.ocx" and "comctl32.ocx" is "C:\Windows\SysWOW64", and you only need copy the files ocx, no the dll archives.

For correct registration of these two components (ocx archives), in cmd (run as administrator), you have to change the directory where you are, "C:\Windows\System32" to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64", and that's all.

I'm sorry by my english, I'm from Spain.

Regards
